As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) student, I am seeking a preceptor who is not only clinically skilled but also passionate about teaching and mentorship. Ideally, this preceptor would have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and a patient-centered approach to care. I value someone who is approachable, communicative, and willing to provide constructive feedback to help me grow in both confidence and competence.

I would appreciate a preceptor who practices in a setting that offers a diverse patient population and a wide range of clinical experiences—including chronic disease management, preventive care, and acute conditions. It’s important to me that my preceptor fosters a learning environment where questions are welcomed, professional development is encouraged, and interprofessional collaboration is modeled.

Ultimately, I hope to work with a preceptor who exemplifies the qualities I aim to develop as a future FNP: clinical excellence, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
